~ Our story ~
Savage Country is classic southern Rock, from full-tilt Marshall driven rock-n-roll to Fender country twang. Founded in May 2008 by core members Rob Bias and Rod Merrill in Salt Lake City, Utah, the band later expanded to include seasoned musicians Brent Anderson, Danny Platis, and Dennis Jackson. Each member brings a strong musical foundation, garnered from experience performing and recording with diverse bands and genres, including rock, heavy metal, country, and blues. Savage Country writes and performs all original music.
Over the years, Savage Country has collaborated with numerous talented musicians, including David Gibson, John Cook, and Joey Judeen, who played a pivotal role in the writing and shaping of Their latest CD, Savage Country demos 2022. Special thanks are extended to Colin Thacker, Jeff Cowles, Buddy Morgan, Rick Bergsma, and Jack Kimball for their invaluable contributions.
As Savage country looks to the future, Rob Bias and Dennis Jackson continue to write and record music, pushing forward into 2026 and beyond.
